Synopsis

In some parts of the city, large mounds of technological waste accumulates. These materials are reconfigured into complex structures, having the ability to perform many of the basic functions of life. These organisms emerge as new artificial life forms that adapt and evolve as parasites in urban environments.

The project conformed by 6 species of autonomous robots was developed by Mexican artist Gilberto Esparza beside a multidisciplinary team of collaborators. The six species were constructed from recycled consumption technology materials. Recent years have been released into the urban living, allowing its interaction with the environment and the inhabitants of the city. Some of these parasites feed energy by stealing power lines in the city.
